A sunny day in Naples

If you're passing through Naples for a day before setting sail for the islands in the bay, here's our program for exploring the city and its nuggets!

Escape into the napo

11h - Take a stroll through Naples, where the historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The streets are so narrow that only people on foot or Vespa can pass through. Lose yourself in the narrow streets and look over the clean laundry as it dries, and maybe you'll spot an swimsuit ANJA!

13h - Lunch at the Torretta market. Grab some fresh seasonal produce and freshly caught seafood, and sit on the rocks overlooking Naples for a feast for the eyes and taste buds.

15h - Climb up to Castel Sant'Elmo for an exceptional panoramic view of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It's the best view of the city. Vesuvius' most famous eruption was the one that buried the city of Pompeii under lava.

17h - Take a stroll through the Galleria Umberto I, an impressive feat of Renaissance architecture with its gigantic glass roofs and sublime mosaics. Take advantage of the beauty of the place to sit down at a café and stroll through the Stores.

20h - Dinner at Osteria della Mattonella, one of Naples' two historic trattorias. It's a very warm and typical Naples restaurant, where you can enjoy the best of Neapolitan traditions. Our favorite dish: Pasta al Ragù.

22h - Head to the rooftop of Hotel Romeo for a drink with a breathtaking view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Enjoy a glass of local wine and relax.
